Agrichemical Application

This qualification has been developed in partnership with industry, and is endorsed by Rural Contractors New Zealand.

Together with a minimum of 200 hours of practical agrichemical application experience, it is recognised by the New Zealand Agrichemical Education Trust (NZAET) as a prerequisite for the Registered Chemical Applicators Certificate. Further information is available from Rural Contractors New Zealand or Grow Safe.

The National Certificate is designed to be stand-alone, but it can also be completed as part of a pathway from introductory through to management level. See our qualification brochure for further details.

National Certificate in Agrichemical Application

The National Certificate in Agrichemical Application recognises the knowledge and skills essential to become a registered chemical application contractor. It covers skills in preparation, application and transportation of agrichemicals, health and safety, regulatory requirements and accountability.

The qualification is completed with specialist skills in one or more of the following areas: Livestock External Parasites, Total Vegetation Control, Aquatic, Broadacre and Brush.
