Combo Refresher: Truck Loader Crane, Elevated Work Platform and Rescue
This Combo course covers a refresh on theory and practical requirements for operating a truck loader crane (TLC) in accordance with the Crane Association of New Zealand, and the safe operation of machinery associated with Elevated Work Platforms (EWP) specifically in the electricity supply industry, including practical aspects of using a harness while working at height. The course covers requirements of Occupational Health and Safety, current codes of practice, best practice guidelines and ensures your team have the skills required to be competent plant operators in the electricity industry.

- Legislative requirements, codes of practice and guidance for using an EWP or TLC.
- Necessary requirements of SM-EI and NZECP34.
- Assessing the worksite, safe setup, operation, lift planning and shut down of plant.
- Hazard ID, safety observers, rescue planning, safe working zones, approach distances to power lines.
- Preparation for working at heights and control of hazards.
- Inspection and fitment of a full body harness.
- Using a safety harness for personal fall protection.
- Sling, lift, move and unload with a truck loader crane.
